Giddes Chalamanda
79 year-old acoustic guitarist Giddes Chalamanda, winner of the ‘Best Folklore’ category at this year’s Malawi Music Awards, is another veteran of the Malawian music scene. An idol for many younger Malawian artists, his influence on the local scene is undoubtedly great.
