Mafunyeta

Mafunyeta has been described as Malawi’s dancehall king. He came on to the music Malawian music scene with his own style that has captivated many young people in Malawi. Mafunyeta grew using desks and tins as instruments and was influenced by Matafaleand Rich Spice.

Mafunyeta rose to stardom by winning talent competitions. Now living in Lilongwe, Mafunyeta released his album Ndimakondwa despite his music being banned by MBC. Mafunyeta is backed by his band Runtings. He is currently working on new material in the studio.
